Nancy (Redding) Rapp, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at home. She was born October 20, 1929 in Bel Air, Maryland, to Joseph Frederick and Helen Caroline (Schneider) Redding.
She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia PA. Nancy retired as an administrative assistant to the Superintendent for the Mt. Vernon School Crop and she was the Mt. Vernon School District Historian. Nancy volunteered as a reading tutor in libraries, schools, and hospitals. She was an animal lover and rescued a lot of pets.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert W. Rapp; children, Caroline Rapp-Urban (Ray), Ginny Isbill (Greg), Robert C. Rapp, John Thiel Rapp (Kim); grandsons, Sean Urban, Joe Isbill (Tesla); great-grandchildren, Marley, Emrys, Eden; and a brother, Thomas Redding (Frances).
The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Michael Allen, Gentiva Hospice, Cathy Nossett, and Jennifer Zint for all their loving care.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
