Norma Lee, 97, passed away May 19, 2024 at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center in Mount Vernon, Indiana.  She was born June 30, 1926 in Elberfeld, Indiana and spent most of her life there. After retiring from Sears, she moved to Mount Vernon, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Dassel and Mattie Ellen (Arendell) Dassel, her husband, William J. Brown, her son, Gary Brown, her granddaughter, Jodie (Brown) Dancer, and her great-grandson Joshua Perry.

She is survived by her daughters Donna Julian and Nancy (George) Rasley, her grandsons Don (Sally) Julian, Daniel Julian, Cameron Brown and Sawyer Dancer, her granddaughters Julie (Craig) Perry and Heather Rasley, her great-grandson Joseph Julian, her great-granddaughters, Shianne (Jake) Wessling, Isabel Perry, Madalyn Dancer, Brenna Julian and Eleanor Merrick, and her great-great granddaughter Riley Wessling.

Norma Lee was very active in her church and in her community. She was the co-founder of the first Girl Scout Troop in her hometown and was the leader for many years, which brought her much happiness. She loved spending time with her family and friends, working in her flower gardens, and doing needle work.

At her request, there will be no public viewing or services. Memorial contributions can be made to Deaconess Hospice.
