Patricia May Maurer Patricia May (Rankin) Maurer, 87, of Oakland City, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Good Samaritan Home & Rehabilitative Center in Oakland City. She was born on September 23, 1931 in Evansville to the late Albert W. and Cora Belle (Matsel) Rankin. She was a typesetter and worked for the Princeton Daily Clarion for over 12 years. Patricia was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Oakland City. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and loved her grandchildren, her cats and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond J. Maurer; children, Michael and Cheryl Marie. Patricia is survived y daughter, Cherie Maurer of Princeton; son, Stephen Maurer of Pride, LA; sisters, Izola Kinser of Princeton and Coaina Rosenberry of New Albany, IN; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gibson County Humane Society, 3840 S. County Rd. 175 E. Princeton, IN 47670 Visitation will be held from 2 pm. to 6 pm., Friday, February 1. 2019 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E.
