Pauline M. (Koch) Oxby, 87, of Elberfeld, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at River Pointe Health Campus. She was born on February 7, 1925 in Elberfeld to William C. and Selma L. (Besing) Koch. She graduated in 1943 from Elberfeld High School and was a lifetime member of Nobles Chapel United Methodist Church. She retired from Whirlpool and was a member of the Black Oak Home Extension Club and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 351. She played the piano for the children and youth groups at church and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, canning, quilting, sewing, traveling, and serving the Lord. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles Halbert Oxby in 1988. She is survived by daughter, Brenda L. Henze (Robert) of Girard, IL, son, William A. "Bill" Oxby and fiancee' Denise Atkins of Elberfeld; granddaughter, Courtney Garau (Sam) of Evansville; great- granddaughters, Emilynn M. and Alisynn G. Garau; sister, Bernice Koch of Washington, D.C. A special thanks to Asera Care Hospice and River Pointe Health Care Campus for their loving kindness. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Nobles Chapel United Methodist Church, 5478 East 1250 South, Elberfeld, Ind. Reverend Lisa Ressler will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd. & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, Ind. Additional visitation Wednesday, 1 p.m. to service time at the church. Condolences may be made @titzerfuneralhomes.com.
