Peggy A. Norman

Peggy A. Norman, 79, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025. She was born on August 19, 1945 in Evansville, Indiana, to John Harold and Freida (Parson) Gentil.

Peggy was the owner and operator of the Red Rooster Stitchery in Newburgh from 1981 until the time of her passing. The Red Rooster was part business, part social club, and part ministry. She enjoyed helping her friends and customers with many wonderful projects. She was a 1963 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, participated in many local clubs, and attended many local Christian churches through the years.

Peggy is survived by her son, Scott Michael Wilhelmus, her grandson, Vince Michael; brother Robert Gentil (Mary Beth Williams); stepsons, Bryan Norman (Cathy), Brad Norman (Andre); and many other family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Daniel Norman.

A visitation will take place Wednesday, July 30th between the hours of 4-7 pm. The funeral will be Thursday, July 31st at 10 am at Titzer Family Funeral Home, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St, Newburgh IN 47630. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh.
