Phyllis Gail Keller (Nash), of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Monday, January 27th, 2025, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville, IN. Phyllis was born on Thursday, September 25th, 1947, to Clarence Nash and Katie (Cox) Le Master.
Phyllis and her husband Paul married 58 years ago, were franchise owners of Wendy’s, and then formed The Keller Group, building houses in Evansville and Newburgh. Phyllis was an avid student, she graduated from Bosse High School in 1965. She stayed close to several classmates through a social circle called The Bosse Babes. She earned a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in the summer of ’91 from the University of Evansville. She loved to garden, paint, and do crossword puzzles in pen. She was a former President and board member of The House of Bread and Peace. Phyllis and Paul were active in their faith as members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. She participated in Cursillo, Christ Renews his Parish, and PEO chapter AA. She led a youth group in her home and taught Sunday School. Phyllis and Paul were honored with membership into The Bruté Society by the Catholic Dioceses of Evansville. The family were members of Rolling Hills Country Club for many years.
Her husband Paul and her father Clarence Nash preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother Katie (Cox) LeMaster; her three children Stacy Keller-Bolen, Mark (Terri) Keller, and Michael (Bridget) Keller; her brother Keith (Kim) Nash of TN, and her sisters Judith (Rich) Williams of FL, and Cindy Nash of OH; her five grandchildren Courtney (Charles) Payne, Caitlyn Keller, Mackenzie Keller (Nathan Grantz), Aaron Keller, and Abbigail Keller and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Titzer Family Funeral Home, Simpson Chapel, 510 W Jennings St., Newburgh, IN 47630. 812-853-8314. There will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, officiated by Rev. Father Claude T. Burns. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be at a later date at St. John’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Backpack Program at St. John’s and or St. Vincent de Paul.
