Randall Lee Daugherty

Services:

Randall Lee Daugherty, age 65, of Newburgh, Indiana, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 after a long courageous fight.

 

Randy was born on November 14, 1951 to Marcella and the late John Daugherty.  He graduated from Castle High School and worked at Big B Barbecue in his high school days.  Randy had a long successful career with Central Industries, Burcliff Industries,  SSW Holding and Sears before retiring due to health problems. 

 

Randy is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Vicki; daughter Stacey Parrish (Steven) of Arkansas; sons, Matthew Daugherty (Paige) of Arkansas and Kyle Daugherty of Ohio; stepchildren, Kyna Dhom (Kelly) of Newburgh and Adam Schmitt of Evansville; granddaughters, Peyton and Hailey Jarrett and Mckenzie Parrish; grandsons, Allen and Chase Parrish, Carter Daugherty, and Jorryn Schmitt;  brothers, Jim (Marge), Kevin (Wanda),  Tim (Christine) and Greg  (Patti) of Newburgh; sisters, Toni Friedman (Gary), Angie Macke, Lisa Raben (Jeff) of Evansville and Gwen Gwaltney (Chris) of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. 

 

Randy loved to watch football, Nascar and NHRA, cooking, boating and camping and loving on his dogs, Sammie, Muzby, Lucy and Gizzie.  He was a longtime volunteer for the Newburgh Barbecue Coalition.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #44 in Newburgh.

 

Randy was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and his big heart and generous spirit will be greatly missed by all that knew him. 

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, an infant brother, Larry and brother, Tom.

 

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Ind. (812) 853-8314.

We would like to thank everyone that helped comfort  Randy and his family in his final days.
