Richard Ann Rubsam

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., with the Marine Corps conducting a Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m., Sunday and 9 a.m. to service time Monday

Richard Rubsam, 70, of Evansville, IN, passed away September 8, 2018 at Golden Living Center- Woodbridge in Evansville.  He was born December 13, 1947 in Evansville to Marion and Loveida (Withers) Rubsam. 

Richard was a devoted father to his children, Brad and Roxanne, as they were active in many sports throughout elementary and high school years and in local 4-H clubs.  

Richard enjoyed spending most of his life with family events, sporting games of his children and holidays with loved ones. He also took joy in past rehabilitation with his beloved dog Charlie.  Richard will be missed by his close family and friends. Special thanks to Katie Byers for all her love and support.  

Richard served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Vietnam Veteran of America Chapter 649.  He worked in the Ingot Dept at Alcoa for 40 years and was a member of St. John's in Newburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jane (Hess) Rubsam; and sister, Madeline Hobson.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Roxanne M. Viney (Jeffrey) of Cincinnati; son, Brad A. Rubsam of Salt Lake City; sister, Marian McNeely of Nixa, Missouri; granddaughter, Alexis Bennington; and great-grandson, Colton Armbruster. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Full Military Rites conducted by the Retired Veterans Club of Vanderburgh County.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., with the Marine Corps conducting a Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m., Sunday and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home.
