Roy Alan Hendren,78,of Newburgh, passed over to meet Jesus, Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Newburgh Health Care Center. Alan was born January 8, 1942 in Buffaloville, IN. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was a barber. He retired from the Norfork Southern Railroad in 2000 where he had worked as a clerk for 34 years. Preceding him in death were his parents, Everett and Alberta Hendren,; brothers Louis and Laurence Hendren.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Tryllis of Newburgh; stepson, Brian Isaacs; stepdaughter, Melinda (Phillip) Voegel; grandchildren, Anastasia (Jeffrey) McCarroll, Keven Voegel and Everett Isaacs; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth McCarroll; brothers, Floyd Hendren and Daniel (Judy) Hendren. Anyone who knew Alan knew he was a no fuss kind of guy and the family has chosen to follow his wishes of a simple and private memorial. Arrangements by Titzer Family Funeral Homes, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN  47630. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Zion United Church of Christ of Newburgh.
