Ruth H. Janus

Ruth H. Janus, 95, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father on February 6, 2020. Ruth was born on December 29, 1924 to Robert and Edith (Klehm) Zimmer in Pittsburgh, PA.  After her husband of 57 years, William Janus, passed away, Ruth came to live with her daughter and son-in-law Pam and Warren Wentzel in Newburgh.

Ruth is survived by her children, Patrick Moran (Susan), Pamela Wentzel (Warren) and

Howard Moran (Kathy); grandchildren, Lawson Mollica (Shanel), Orin Moran, Sara Elizabeth Lee (John), Christopher Moran (Jennifer), Dana Doyle (George), Heather Meyer (Russ), Dawnelle Boles (Kenny), Zachary Moran (Dympha), Courtney Kitson (Brett) and Megan Moran; great-grandchildren, Brady Mollica, Ella Butcher, Wriley Mollica, Kellan Mollica, Gavin Lee, J. J. Lee, Angela May Moran, Madison Moran,  Katelynn Austin (Colin), Kacey Doyle, Oakley Moran, Wyatt Moran and Fallon Salder (Dustin), Paxton Hedgepath, Peyton Trimble and Landon Trimble and Tyler Meyer; great-great grandchildren, Layton Wayne Hancock, Maeve Elizabeth Austin, Baby Lee and Baby Ruth Hancock; nieces and nephews, Mona Peck, Edith Mall-Spears, Robert Mall and Glenn Mall.

In addition to Ruth's parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Mall; son, Thomas Moran; nephew, Wayne Mall; great-grandson, Cody Meyer; grand-daughter, Pamela Dawn McNally.

Ruth was a member of Zion UCC church in Newburgh, and remarked that the church reminded her of the church her family went to many years ago. Ruth loved spending her weekdays at the Newburgh Senior Center, where she enjoyed exercises and B-I-N-G-O. She made many good friends at both locations.
