Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. John's Mausoleum

Sarah Dawn (Hardesty) Ward died at the age of 40 after succumbing to her battle with cancer on January 28, 2016. She was born June 7, 1975. In her most recent career, Sarah led the U.S. team of consultants for Wolters Kluwer's TeamMate applications. She loved her job and was especially thankful for the good friends that she made in her career. Sarah loved nothing more than the Lord and her family. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, James (Jim) Ward, Jr., and her two sons, Garrett Ward (15) and Justin (J.T.) Ward (12). Sarah was the 2nd to youngest of the Hardesty family of Newburgh, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Thomas (Tom) and Patricia (Pat) Hardesty. Sarah is survived by her 10 brothers and sisters and their spouses: Anna and Earl Matthews, Steve and Gayle Hardesty, Dan and Mary Hardesty, Kathy and Frank Pepe, Dave Hardesty, Todd and Peggy Hardesty, Becky and Jerry Hofmann, Susan and Joe Weber, Julie and Chad Bennett, Joe and Lisa Hardesty and their children. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Jean and James Robert (Bob) Ward, Sr., and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Tashana Ward. Sarah asked to express a special thank you and recognition to friends and family who helped and guided her through her journey home. She would like to especially recognize the Catholic Cursillo movement and the incredible impact it had on her faith journey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, Ind. Entombment will follow in St. John's Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 3 to 8 p.m., Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, 9 a.m. to service time at the church. Donations in Sarah's memory can be made to Gilda's Club of Evansville or Evansville Cursillo.
