Scott Edward Titzer

Scott Edward Titzer, 52, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. He was born in Evansville, IN, on July 16, 1974, to Frederick and Catherine (Elpers) Titzer.

Scott was a 1993 graduate of Central High School. He spent the majority of his life as a heavy truck mechanic and enjoyed working on antique tractors and engines. Scott was a member of the Boy Scouts, the Campbell Conservation Club, and the Southern Indiana Antique Machinery club of Vanderburgh County. He was one of thirty cousins and loved his family very much. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Mary Titzer, and Edward and Elizabeth Elpers; as well as his godfather, Frank Elpers and sister-in-law, Janet Titzer.

He is survived by his parents, Frederick and Catherine (Elpers) Titzer; sister, Christine Tepool (Matthew); brother, Craig Titzer (Laura Hocker); nephews, Jared Tepool, Scott’s godson, and Brandon Tepool; Godmother, Angie Brooks; Uncle, Rick Elpers; and many cousins.

A Funeral Mass in Scott’s honor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Dr, Evansville, IN, 47725, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
