Seth Alan Forster, 46, originally of Newburgh IN and recently of Erlanger KY passed away peacefully at home on February 18th, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Seth was born on August 28th, 1979, in Evansville IN to his loving parents, Randall and Nancy Forster. He graduated from Castle High School in Newburgh and went on to study classical guitar and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. He later went on to get a degree as a medical lab tech and worked at various hospitals in the Cincinnati area.
Above all, Seth loved music – he was a prolific guitarist and wonderful musician. Seth loved spending time with his friends and family; he was much loved by many close friends. Many of his friendships were a result of his music. He performed with other musicians on weekends and played classical guitar music at weddings and other special occasions. Seth loved to read...non-fiction, mostly. He seemed to have a photographic memory and could recall dates and historical events. He told his nephew, "Don't strive to be a good guy, work at being a great man." Seth will be dearly missed.
Seth was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Sarah Pope. He is survived by his beloved parents, Randall and Nancy Forster; his sisters, Melanie (Zak) Brining and Sarah (Marc) Loehr; his nieces and nephews Scarlett, Wyatt, Belle, Cole and Paige; his aunt, Vickie Welbaum; and many, many cherished friends and extended family members.
We wish to extend a special note of gratitude to the hospice nurses at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, KY. We would be remiss if we did not extend our thanks to his close musician friends that worked tirelessly over the past several months to play and record many of the songs that Seth had composed over the years.
A Funeral Service will be held in Seth’s honor at 12pm/Noon on the 26th of February 2026 at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Rd., Evansville, IN 47725. Visitation will also take place from 10:00am until 12pm at the Church, with a short graveside service to follow, then lunch back at the Church. The service will be "live-streamed" on the Church's website: onlineCFC.com
