Sharon G. Brown

Sharon Grace (Vanhooser) Brown, 83, of Newburgh, IN passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Hospital. She was born December 25, 1938, to the late

Charles Earl and Nora (Brantley) Vanhooser.

Sharon was a bookkeeper for many years and a member of Bible Center Cathedral for over 40 years. Those who knew mom; know she loved to cook, enjoyed crafting, and was quite the seamstress.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tomuel, sister Hilda, and brother Tom.

She is survived by her children; son, Timothy Brown (Jennifer), daughter Kathy Collins (Scott), son, Mike Brown (Kristi), son Barry Brown (Tara), daughter Penny Capozziello (Tony), son Brian Brown (Beth), 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Bible Center Cathedral, 5000 N. 1st Ave, Evansville, IN 47710 with visitation beginning at 12/noon at the church. Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor to Bible Center Cathedral Haiti Soup Kitchen.
