Shawn Dean White, 50, formerly of Evansville, left this world suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, November 2, 2018 in Evans, Georgia. He was born December 27, 1967 in Dothan, Alabama.
He earned a Bachelor's degree from Oakland City University in Evansville in 2004, before attending Saint Louis University School of Law. Shawn served in the United States Army - SPC Military Police, after his Army Service he moved to Evansville where he became an Evansville Police Officer; K9 officer, Swat Team and Sergeant.
He studied Martial Arts most of his life and he held many black belts. He specialized in Muaythai kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, Russian sambo, judo and taught many self defense classes. He competed in numerous tournaments throughout the United States and Thailand, and was a Two-Time Submission Fighting Champion. His knowledge and passion for martial arts flowed through his veins. His outstanding and unsurpassed ability was unmatched and left everyone whom was honored to witness him in his element speechless.
He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Joseph White. Shawn leaves behind, whom he adored beyond measure, his only son Brantley James White, 17, of North Vernon, IN; daughter, Victoria White age 5 of Georgia. His sudden death has left a gaping void in the many lives he touched. Among the many loved ones, perhaps the most tragic loss will be felt by his precious children. Shawn was his son Brantley's inspiration and hero.
