Susan Rae Fowler

Susan Rae (Massey) Fowler, 74, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She was born April 11, 1948, in Henderson, KY, to the late Raymond and Gertrude (Yates) Massey.

Susan graduated from Central High School in 1966 and later earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville. She worked in childcare/education at Immanuel Baptist Temple, in advertising at the Henderson Gleaner, and later as a library assistant at McCollough Library.

Susan was an avid reader and a gifted cross stitcher. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved dogs.

Susan is survived by her husband, Steve, and their two daughters, Stacy and Lesly; her older sister, Barbara (Gary) Lehr; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, Debby Kolley.

A public graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 28, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery -- 1800 St. George Rd., Evansville, IN.
