Terry Marshall Fikes

On Monday morning, May 06, 2024 , Terry Marshall Fikes, loving husband and father of six children, passed away at age 58 with his devoted wife at his side in Newburgh, Indiana.

Terry was born on June 13, 1965 in Queens, New York, to Lee Roy and Snowbird Ratzel. The family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1966. Terry received his education in the Milwaukee Public School System. He married  his longtime partner and best friend Kathy on August 17, 2002. Terry and Kathy shared 42 years together.

At a young age Terry had a passion for breaking his toys just to fix them. This love helped him to become a mechanic at age 16. He continued this well into his 40’s. He loved working with his hands; with this divine love he took on his second love of work in home improvement. He was committed to home improvement works until he was unable to work. Besides work, Terry was a family man. He loved and cherished his family. He was always spending time with his wife; he loved being a father and when he became a grandfather, he enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Lee; two nephews, Isaiah J. Phillips.and Earl D Lawhorn III. He leaves his cherished memories to his wife Kathy Fikes; mother Snowbird Ratzel; four sons Christopher, Terry, DeAndre, Larry (Sharon); two daughters Ebony (Keith), and Arias; five sisters Dona Fikes, Jacqueline Ratzel, Kay (Kenneth Moore), Shirley Ratzel, Antoinette Ratzel; two brothers Lee Roy Ratzel JR. and Kareem (Sandra Ratzel); sister-in-law, Cassandra Jones; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and hosts of Nieces and Nephews .

Terry will be missed by all, especially by his devoted wife and best friend Kathy.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 at Titzer Family Funeral Home at 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN 47630, officiated by Minister Cassandra Jones. Family visitation 9:00; Services 10:30.
