Theresa A. (Dickson) Mayhugh of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, surrounded by family, and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born to James Dickson and the late Judith A. Dickson. Theresa was a woman who lived life unapologetically and loved with her whole heart. Fierce, outspoken, and fiercely loyal, she was never one to hold back her opinion, but she was also the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. If Theresa loved you, you knew it.
She might have always been late, but she would never show up looking anything less than Hollywood-ready. Her bold spirit, generous heart, and unforgettable personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Theresa is survived by her father, James Dickson and wife Faye; her son, James DeVault and wife Samantha; her grandchildren; her sister, Roxann Crayne and husband Mike; her brother, J.B. Henderson and wife Pam; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith A. Bassemier, and several cherished family members.
A Funeral Service will be held in Theresa’s honor at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21 2026, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Meyer Chapel 100 E Columbia St Evansville IN 47711. A Visitation will also be held, on the same day, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m., also at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Meyer Chapel.
Condolences may be made to Theresa’s family on the Titzer Family Funeral Homes website.
Theresa’s life was a reminder to love hard, stand firm, speak your mind, and show up for the people who matter. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, her laughter, and her unmistakable spirit will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Until we meet again in the presence of the Lord.
