Warren R. Kohlmeyer of Elberfeld Warren R. Kohlmeyer, 86, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Pine Haven Nursing and Rehab. He was born on April 16, 1932 in Elberfeld to Eli and Bertha (Libbert) Kohlmeyer. Warren earned his Bachelor's Degree from Oakland City College, a Masters Degree from Indiana University and a degree in Guidance Counseling from University of Evansville. He was a teacher and guidance counselor for EVSC and taught for 38 years at West Terrace Elementary. He was keenly interested in shaping young minds, especially his daughters. Warren was a lifelong member of New Jerusalem United Methodist Church in Elberfeld and he was a United States Army veteran having served in Japan after WWII. Warren was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he loved to travel. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda; two daughters, Amy Greene (Brian) and Leslie Bacus (Terry, Jr.); grandchildren, Katherine Lindsay Greene and Evan Warren Greene; brother, Roger Kohlmeyer. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jon Warren Kohlmeyer; siblings, Dorothy Breeden, Leona Englehardt, Norma Jean Engler, Wilfred Kohlmeyer, Floyd Kohlmeyer; uncle, Harold Kohlmeyer. A special thanks to Pine Haven, especially Marilyn and Mary and Heritage Hospice, Nancy and Chaplain Luke. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019 at New Jerusalem UMC, 125 First St. Elberfeld, IN 47613, with burial in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Lisa Resler will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 210 W. Second St. Elberfeld, IN (812) 983-4211, and Saturday 10 a.m. to service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to New Jerusalem UMC.
