Willard L. Hardin, Jr., 91, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on November 25, 2020.

Will was born May 23, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Willard L Hardin, Sr. and Lauraine Berg Hardin.

Will studied art at The American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois. In 1968, Will moved to Newburgh, Indiana to work as a commercial artist for Keller Crescent and as an art department chairman/instructor at Ivy Tech Community College. He continued his passion for art and opened his own business, Will Hardin Studio.

Will was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Evansville Indiana, serving as a deacon and member of the choir. He was active in the Stephen Ministries. He was also a member of the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus for several years.

Will is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nan; his two sons, Ryan of Newburgh Indiana, Kevin and his wife Ann of Robards, Kentucky; his daughter Jane and her husband Bob Wheeler of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; his two grandsons, Nathanael Goldbach and Brandon Wheeler; nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his two sisters Mary Jane Johnson and Carolyn Pecora.

A memorial service will be held at his church at a later date. Special thanks for the care received at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation and Southern Care Hospice.
