William O’Dell Allen

William O’Dell Allen, 81, of Newburgh, Ind., went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his home.  He was born September 25, 1936 in Washington, IN to William D. and Marguerite (O’Dell) Allen. 

He graduated from Petersburg High School in 1954.  Bill was also a graduate of Purdue University, with a Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy, there he was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity.  After graduation he worked at various pharmacies including, Woods, Hooks, and Welborn and St. Mary’s Hospitals. 

He was a diehard Cubs fan.  He loved watching U of E Basketball but always was loyal to the Purdue Boilermakers. 

His love of God was above all things, but his love of God’s furry critters he held near to his heart.

He was a charter member of Mill Road Baptist Church. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Linda Lu (Burton) Allen.  He is survived by his wife, Nora (Gasaway) Kopp Allen; children, W. Bradley Allen (Cathy), John C. Allen (Kristin); and grandchildren, Natalie Allen Smith (Charles), Drew Bower, Ian Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Adrienne Allen, Grant Allen, Madeline Allen Johnston (Kevin), and Sophia Allen.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. (CST), Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN, (812) 853-8314.  Graveside Services will be held in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg at 3 p.m. (EST).

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. (CST) Friday and 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Warrick County Humane Society.  Sympathy wishes to the family may made at www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
